The Montana Department of
Agriculture offers financial assistance to Montana agricultural businesses to

MSU
Extension Service Publications
MSU Extension Service publishes
a number of items for consumers, but also a variety of material for horticulture
tradespeople. Some are available for download from the MSU website, others are
available for order from MSU at little cost.
Nursery
License
If you sell plant materials in Montana,
you are required to have a Montana nursery license, issued by the State of
Montana through the Department of Agriculture. Follow this link for more
information.
Voluntary
Guidelines for the Selection of Horticultural Plant Materials for Montana
MNLA adopted these guidelines in early 2003. They provide important information
to nurseries and landscape contracting companies regarding the prevention of
introducing invasive species.

Care Information Brochures
The International Society of
Arboriculture (ISA) publishes some excellent tree care brochures that may be
downloaded free from its website. These are great publications for consumers and
include information related to selecting high-quality trees, recognizing tree
hazards, planting trees, and more.
